Boracay offers a diverse variety of outdoor activity possibilities and is the ideal holiday destination for those visitors who like to engage in something energetic while enjoying the beauty that island life has to offer. The beach is the focal point for outdoor pursuits with both sea and sand lending themselves to a variety of physical activities.

Boracay Water Sports

Boracay has countless water sport possibilities. At White Beach and some of the other beaches visitors can expect to find facilities for waterskiing, jet-skiing, snorkelling, scuba diving, windsurfing, wakeboarding, knee-boarding and speed boating. There are numerous operators on the island, especially those dedicated to scuba diving. Among the best established are Aquarius Diving, Calypso Diving School, Fisheye Dive Safari, Fisheye Divers, Inter Island Diving School, Lapu Lapu Diving Centre, Scuba World, Tommy's Sea Sports and Victory Divers.

Boracay Windsurfing and Kiteboarding

A few places along the White Beach offer windsurfing and kiteboarding equipment and lessons. The main beach though for Windsurfers is Bulabug beach with many places offering equipment for rent and also lessons. The best time for windsurfing is between December and February, when the Northeast monsoon blows. Every year windsurf freaks can participate at the Boracay International Fun Board Cup, a Leg of the Asian Windsurfing Tour.

Boracay Beach Volleyball, Beach Football & Ultimate Frisbee

Many places along the White Beach put up volleyball nets during daytime. Mornings and especially later in the afternoon people gather spontaneously and play for fun or challenging games. Beach Football is also played spontaneously along the White Beach, culminating in two yearly championship events, where tourist-teams play against teams from the Philippines, USA and Hong Kong.  Ultimate Frisbee seems to be the biggest draw with teams from Metro-Manila and all over Asia visiting Boracay to get in on the action.

Boracay Golf

Golf in Boracay is available at The Fairways and Bluewater Resort Golf and Country Clubin Barangay Yapak. This World Class Gold Course 18 hole, par 72 golf course is designed by Graham Marsh and was opened in 1997. Its gurgling creeks, rushing waterfalls and sparkling lakes justify its title as the "Golfing Jewel of the Pacific". The course is normally open to members only, but occasionally , non members can play. Just visit Fairways and Blue Waters and register for whatever package you desire.

Boracay Hiking & Mountain Climbing

During the cooler months of the year, visitors can enjoy exploring the island's less developed areas on foot. The gradient of the terrain is variable, as is the surface, making for some easy and challenging walking. Visitors planning to go far might want to consider the services of a local guide.

Boracay Horseback Riding

The Boracay riding school provides outings on locally bred mares, taking in various parts of the island. Riders can go solo or unaccompanied depending on their level of experience.

Boracay Mountain Biking

There are a number of places where you can hire mountain bikes, and numerous opportunities to enjoy both on and off-road action. Established off-road tracks are scarce, but adventurous types will manage to find areas offering terrain lending itself well to rough riding.

Boracay Scootering

Hire a scooter from one of the island's many rental shops, grab a map and take off on a daytrip across the island to explore its interesting mix of scenery, resorts and native villages. Bring your bathing suit, as there are a number of beaches to visit along the way. The entire island very safe with very friendly locals.
