In general La Carmela de Boracay's policies and overall attitude strangely out of step with the ambiance guests would expect from a beachside resort, and far from service oriented. The resort does offer a wide range of facilities which may be attractive to families on a budget, but sacrifices deeply on service. As management seems prepped to expand the hotel we hope that service and quality become more of a concern for the resort. For budget travelers less interested in the breadth of facilities La Carmela de Boracay offers there are better cheaper options to be found that provide higher levels of service and room quality but without the amenities and beachfront location of La Carmela de Boracay.
